Millionaire used helicopter to search for missing dogs

Exhausted or drunk?

A wealthy Norwegian financier contacted a psychic and received special permission to fly low over the mountains in his desperate search for two beloved pets.

Multi-millionaire Ole T Bjørnevik was out with his two English Setters, Perdita and her puppy Mira, on Friday counting grouse for the upcoming hunting season when the dogs disappeared.
Bjørnevik has spent every day since then flying low in his own private helicopter over the mountains of Meråker, in Nord-Trondelag County, searching for the dogs. He also contacted psychics, seeking their views on where the dogs might be.
The puppy Mira showed up on her own accord on Tuesday, near the spot where Bjørnevik had set off with his dogs. It was a happy reunion, but Mira's mother remained missing as of Wednesday.
What a waste of money and time.....

Trip on the Finnmark plateau

Finnmarksvidda (the Finnmark plateau) is Norway's largest mountain plateau, with an area greater than 22,000 km². It lies at 300-500 meters above sea level. Approximately 36% of Finnmark county lies in the Finnmarksvidda. From Alta in the west to Varangerhalvøya in the east is over 400 km, and from north to south it is at least that long, and the plateau extends into Finland.
The plateau includes extensive birch woods, pine barrens, bogs and glacially formed lakes. Finnmarksvidda is situated north of the Arctic Circle and is best known as the land of the Sami people and their reindeer herds. The Sami used to live as nomads and in the middle of the tundra you will find their shelters which are still in use in winter time when the herder is looking after the reindeer herds.

Dog buried alive under snow

An elderly Border collie was saved by his whimpering after he literally was buried under the masses of snow that fell over southern Norway last week.

The 11-year-old dog, named Bonzo, disappeared from his family's home last Tuesday. Days went by, with no sign of him.

A week later, the telephone rang and a woman said she'd heard some whimpering from a nearby park.
They found the dog under the snow. He was in surprisingly good shape, but almost certainly would have perished if he hadn't been found.
